Do you think a model A rad would be sufficient for a 4.3L v6? I'd really like to have a cap stick out from the top of my shell instead of trying to fab up a hood ornament of some sort.

you can get an off the shelf 3 row A radiator for pretty short money. that should do it. I dont know if I would trust an orig single row for a 4.3, especially with any work put into it.
